Do you have nVidia video/display drivers with nView enabled?...
1. Winamp > Ctrl+P
2. General Preferences > Jump to File (double click to expand the JtF options tree if collapsed) > Extras
3. checkmark 'Attempt to fix compatibiliry issues with nView'
4. close out of prefs
5. to ensure change fully takes hold, close & restart Winamp

JonnyMac: might be an idea to amend that post to show it's either on the misc tab or on the 'Extras' child page from the Jump to File node in the preferences.

Thanks! Above post was amended to remove link and include the steps.

Now that you mentioned it, I thought that option was removed from the Misc tab. Regardless, shame on me for taking the lazy approach and not verify the steps from a older post.

it was sort of removed when it was broken due to 5.53 but then again i sneakily moved things around to what i think is a more logical place to keep some option other than hidden in the misc tab
