I am braodcasting the music perfectly. If I wanted to talk using a mic, and I go and enable the advanced recording in the dsp configure box and I choose microphone. Then I restart winamp. I go connect to the server and start playing music. I then talk byt pushing the talk button. My users never hear the music when I have advanced recording enabled.
When it is enabled they hear me, when it isn't they hear the music and not me. Making it easier, the mic works and the music doesn't go through, or the music goes through and the mic in disabled. I have the Sound Blaster Live platinum. The microphone is working because i can hear myself. What do i need to do to get this to work together, the music and the mic. Please help me anyone. email me at dsk149@psu.edu Thanks
Please help.
Dave

Hmm, have you checked the 'mixers' to see if the 'what you hear' box is checked on the record mixer??? and also make sure the 'mic' and the 'wave' boxes are unchecked on the play mixer..

Shyte..

I got the same problem I been screwing around with it for the last hour or two. I had it workin for a little while yesterday, then I had someone remotly connect to my server and all I hear was them typing through their mic. I set it up today and the same thing happened. This really sucks... this rocked when it was working.

Hey Antifreeze, I had the same problem with my old soundblaster 16 card, it didn't have the option to record the 'wave/direct sound'... So I had to get a new sound card that was compatible with the 'advanced recording' mode from the shoutcast plug in.... I purchased the SB Live MP3 and it works like a charm now...Also have you tried going into the 'volume control' mixer section and hitting properties?? it's possible that you don't have the 'wave' mixer slider bar enabled...

Hope this helps...
