opening mp3s
Hey,
I have searched the forum, and i found people with kind of simular problem, but the solution people replied, i dont seem to get it. I have looked at the stickys as well.. i havent found anything related to this there, though.I have just installed the latest version of Winamp, 5.55 nothing extra. Basicly, i have a MP3 on my desktop, i double click on it, Winamp opens up, and the MP3 is in there, but it doesnt start automaticly. And if i close it and double click on the same MP3 again, it puts it in there again. Is it possible to start a song automaticly, after double clicking. And also if the song allready in the Playlist, then just playing it instead on putting it in there again? Thanks in advance, |

1. Winamp > Ctrl+P
2. General Preferences > File Types 3. uncheck "Enqueue Files on double click in Windows Explorer" |

![]() Can i have one more question if its not too rude me asking. As i was trying the solve the answer for my first question, i changed a few things, and now i probably changed it so everytime i click a song from the desktop, it starts it up with Winamp, and plays its automaticly. But everytime i click a new one, the Playlist clears and only the new ones in there. Is it possible to make a list but keep this setting as well? Sorry i dont want to try it myself, as i dont really understand all the settings and im scared ill make it even worse. Thanks again. |

In other words, add and play instead of replace and play, correct?...
1. Winamp > Ctrl+P (for preferences) 2. General Preferences > File Types > Shell Options -- you may have to double click File Types to expand the Shell Options branch 3. Checkmark "Add 'Enqueue & Play' to Winamp Associated file types" and "Set 'Enqueue & Play' as the default action" |
