how to convert youtube files from real player format to winamp or media player format

Hi,Recently I have downlowded a number of songs and short movies from youtube via real player.the sound quality of downloaded files are not very good. please help me how to convert youtube files from real player format to winamp or media player formats? I think the sound quality of winamp or media player files are better than real player files.I could not convert or copy real player downloaded files to winamp or media player.Many thanks.

If the sound is crap, you cannot make it better by simply converting. You would need an audio filter to change it. Anyway, Winamp has no video encoding features. You will need to look elsewhere.

Perhaps you should be saving the flv or mp4 files that are downloaded when you view the video.
