you can find the private address of the computer by: Start --> Run --> type in 'cmd' without the single quote --> click OK --> in the black DOS window type 'ipconfig' without the quotes --> press return.

That window will give you some information. The IP address is what is important.

The private address should look something like Nick@ss suggested. However, it may also start with a 10. Out of the box, most linksys routers give a 192.168 address.
