Ripping to Custom Paths with Non-existent Folders

Hello,

I used to be able to rip to a custom path containing a non-existent folder. Winamp would create the folder for me.

It would seem that the latest version of Winamp will not do this, which the Help document confirms.

What's the deal? Why was that functionality removed?

Cheers.

Winamp should still do that. I don't recall an entry in the changelog saying this was removed.

I got it figured out.

What I was trying to do was use <Artist>\<Album> as directories when they didn't exist.

This can be done but not by putting them in the Destination Directory feild. Turns out that these directories must go under Naming Convention.
