Slow transfer-speed to mobile Device

Hi guy,

I like the Winamp portable feature very much but on thing is makes me crazy.
The mp3 transfer to my mp3 player takes ages (e.g. 45 min. for 75 songs).
When I use the gusb plug-in it goes way faster.

Any Ideas?

Does it say if it is "Transcoding" or just "Transferring"

Plugged into the same SUB port every time?

It only shows transferring, transcoding is disabled. I also tried different usb ports with no success.

So, folks,

i also tried a clean re-install of Winamp. But still no success.
Am I really the only one with slow transfer rates?

Hi,

Are you using the latest version of Winamp? (i.e. 5.35)

Of course i'm using the latest verison (5.35) / clean install / no additional Plugins.

Any more informations needed?

Transfering songs to my sd-card in my multi-cardreader works really fast. So at least that works fine ;.)

In that case, no idea what could be causing the slow transfer, sorry...

Anyone else?

I am encountering the exact same problem amazingly slow transfer speeds.

Via explorer its fast , its only transfering on winamp not transcoding and is taking exceedingly long time.

Its a new board USB 2.0 1333 fsb etc should do it in no time. New chip wolfsbane 8400 133 fsb, and 1333 fsb ram ( pc side its a beast (not hardware problem))

The device is a baylis media player but as i said goes nippy in thingy so perhaps a winamp plugin problem.

I have the latest version of Winamp i always update immediately and my USB drivers ( windows side ) are all functioning correctly with a nice transfer speed in xp.

Many thanks i hope this helps.

Tim

Edit: If youd like a hijack this report or a dxdiag so u can locate the problem please feel free to pm ill be happy to oblige
