Won't save the preset rating

So I've been going through the presets, changing the ratings for a ton of the presets. However, after going through about 100 or so, I realized that the ratings changes did not stick. I hit +/- to change the rating, then hit either h or space bar to go to the next preset, but then if I hit backspace, the previous rating would show up.

I've got vista 64bit home premium, and I'd venture to say that the preset rating file can't be saved to or something stupid like that. Any ideas?

Send a message via ICQ to Flexi
ratings are saved for each preset individually. I guess your windows folder setting do not permit changes and you have to change these settings for your Winamp or Milkdrop folder. Else you could change your winamp installation to a directory with full access.

Thanks for the reply. I uninstalled winamp then put it to C:\ rather than C:\program files\ and they seem to save just fine now. Probably just the UAC bs.

Thanks! I was having some issues with saving settings for MilkDrop and that suggestion worked Perfectly!
Note: If you are using Media Monkey for database and Winamp for player you will have to uninstall / re-install winamp and use the suggestion above to install to C:\Winamp as install folder. Then when you open Media Monkey it will show an error at first. Just x out the error message and Media Monkey will open without the player. Then go into Tools>options>player then select the new winamp folder you installed to and select the player. Then re-boot and should work perfectly.
