'Add directory' clears playlist: bug or feature?

Hey,

This is something that has been bothering me for a while, and I'm not sure if it is a bug or a feature.

I always use the insert key to add a directory to the playlist. There are two behaviours to this, depending on which window has focus.[list=1][*]The playlist windows has focus: directory contents are appended to playlist (expected)[*]The main winamp window has focus: the playlist is cleared before adding the directory contents (unexpected)[/list=1]

I think this is really strange behaviour, was it intended this way?

This is expected behaviour.

See :

Winamp Menu > Nullsoft Winamp ... > Keyboard shortcuts

Main window - Insert = Open/Play folder.

Playlist editor - Insert = Add folder.

I think most users will have cursed this at some time

Ahhhh you're right!

This is screaming for a "fix", but it's probably the lowest priority if the developers even agree.
