Debian etch 64bit - can't start sc_serv
Hi all,
I have a problem executing sc server on my debian box. The OS is 64 bit variant and unfortunatelly I can't change that. When I try to start ./sc_serv I get: bash: ./sc_serv: No such file or directory Permissions are 755 and everything else looks right. What could cause this? I thought it is normally no problem to execute 32bit programs on a 64bit OS? Thanks in advance Jens |

you are using a relative path. Navigate to the folder that you have sc_serv in and then pass the command.
This is not an error of a 64 bit vs. 32 bit OS.... |

what version of ubuntu x64 are you running (7.04)? Have you made sure that the 32 bit libraries have been installed (usually they are not)? |

I have no idea why ia32 is not installed by default on the 64 bit distros seeing as how most non-native apps need it to run.
Anyway, glad you got things working. |

Hi,
the ia32-libs solved it for me also, but I was wondering if there is a way to compile sc_serv in 64bit??? |
