Hello.

I have been posting off and on for a while and recently came acroos sometyhing kind of puzzling. I submitted some skins and while my others look fine these when you preview are alost black.

I have posted the same ones to EZ themesa and they show up fine there. Could it be the skin software im using? I havent changed the submission format (zip).

I am currently using Cyanide shop since it allows you to work with one big bitmap instead of cutting them just right.

for a example of what im talking asbout please go here http://www.winamp.com/components/det...onentId=55863. or look for Sandman Death and dream

Thanks for your time.

Matt

I really don't think there's anything in this skin who can offend anyone, so I don't think it's censorship.
I have seen more skins who is blacked out (and then I just HAVE to download them ),
without any offencive elements in them (car-skins, etc).

So, to conclude my little essay, It's not censorship.

I wonder what it is..

1 2 3 4 5

This sentence is a lie!

In short, Catspaw, it's nothing you're doing wrong. Something is quirky in the skin database, and we forum users haven't figured out what yet.

Lunatic fringe, we know you're out there.

well, from my personal experience when uploading [plug on Jeri and Jenny In/With Jello [plug off] Winamp.com does not like compressed bitmaps. (Im assuming it was the compression and not the indexed color.) I had noise, base buttons, and big black spots on my first 4 screenshots.

Anyway, I deleted my skins, opened them up again, converted them to regular, uncompressed RGB mode bitmaps, and resubmitted, and my screencap came out pristine. For Winamp that is. Of course, I was using a pretty high compression.

...a blatant person.

BG...I think you've figured it out...someone else had this problem in the Tech Forum and that's what they did to try to correct the problem and it worked for them too.
