I just started a post of stuff that is not really a wish list but a list of "dream" features that we would like WA3 to have.

1.Skin the icons in the thinger.
2.Audio sharing, with NO filters! (Napster 10.1 sux)
3.Video player
4.Intergration for keyboards that have Volume control so you can change the volume of Winamp, not the system volume.

Well all I want from WA3 right now is better playlist features and GeForce, I love that plug in! it is by far the best of all i've tried

a better playlist? That's pretty demanding - I think one of the most impressive things about WA3 is it's support of both multiple playlists and mp3 tags.

hey... I dunno maybe this is already supported in 2.75 and it's just that I'm blind - but wouldn't it be nice to have key bindings? That way you could set up the keys anyway you want to have them. Also for WA3 - key bindings for specific playlists? IE you hit F8 and it switched to the playlist you specified.

i really hope WA3 be smart with your id3 tag information and fill in as much information as they can. its a pain in the ass to fill it out. also, please don't be like windows media player and write ID3s in such a way that ONLY they can read it. its annoying when you want to play your songs on another computer or with another program and none of your information is there

i agree.
it needs a sweet tag editor.

also the ability to add small plugins (like an alarm clock) that dont need a window to themselves, they just need a page under the settings window.

I like the tag editor in MusicMatch how it allows you to have Album cover and lyrics. It would be cool if Winamp used this tag and had window to display the lyrics, maybe in the MB. And when the song ended it would close window or leave it open if the next song had lyrics too (some kind of HTML genorator might be nessisary). I don't know, maybe Chat. A WA3 section on Winamp.com would be nice, I hate having to goto Deskmod.com to get WA3 skins, that site is bloatware!

This is the best tag editor out there, especially for mass id3 tag repairing, It makes it real easy to change all the variations of Dave Matthews Band to a single format you like the best. DMB is just an example, all your mp3s are listed on giant spreadsheet and all fields are there in colums so you can see what is out of wack. I generally use the sort by file name option, highlight all tracks by a single artist and then tell it to change the artist field on all the selected mp3s to the standard I use. Makes life easy. Oh yeah, and did i mention freeware?

Lyle - 2.x has an HTML gen, so that'd be easy to add as a component perhaps... a lyrics handler. There won't be an official Winamp 3.x skins section on Winamp.com until at least the Beta, maybe final.

Yeh, what would be nice. Nullsoft's Gnutella includet in Nullsoft's Winamp3. This should be a component.

Also a fine idea. This will be a component, too.

...maybe Chat.

I wanted to make this plugin (we should call this now component) for wa2x. But I have only few programming experiences.

Don't count on it

. The only problem I see with skinning the icons is that then you'd have to have that explanation line in there to identify the icons. If they had a floating tooltip, that wouldn't be bad.
