Can anyone please help me? I am going beserk trying to contact Winamp person to person, given that I have just paid them $20 for Winamp pro, and I cannot see that it is operative. All I get is the old Winamp 5 and that is not working properly anyway! Could some kind person help me to establish contact with my sellers i.e. Winamp!! My email is clewis2666@aol.com.

FAQ

I need to contact Winamp Pro Support!
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....did=294846#pro

What do you mean by "All I get is the old Winamp 5 and that is not working properly"?

We would probably require a bit more info/details than that...

details of 'not working properly' as asked for

Basically I get a virtually blank screen, with no rip or burn facility, and no list of my playlists. The tags at the top of Media Library and View etc do not help. I find it impossible to navigate the software. I was at one time getting a lot more than that and was doing pretty well with Winamp. But it seems to have given up on me!! I just want to tell Winamp that their product for which I paid $20 is not working. One would expect some sort of direct contact with the seller or support, but I am not getting it. That is why I asked for members kind assistance how to email direct to a Winamp technician. I do not want to bother other members, but with Winamp hiding their face, I know not what else to do.

Well, when you send the email to the email address linked to in the FAQ thread,
you'll get through to a Winamp Technician...
and lo & behold, that technician will be me.

Please attach your List Of Plugins
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....161361#plugins

Sounds to me like you unchecked some items on the Choose Components page of the Installer Options...

thanking for help

Do you mean I need to something about plug-ins -- whatever they maybe. I will do as instructed! HoweverI do not recall doing anything about choosing options. I simply paid about £15 and downloaded Win-amp Pro, since when I cannot see any evidence of it (only of normal old free winamp). I cannot find any rip facility on it either.

So... 3 weeks later, and still no email or list of plugins...

Have you entered your Pro reg key yet?
You need to enter it to unlock the Pro features.
Winamp -> Prefs (Ctrl+P) -> Winamp Pro -> Enter Registration Key

If any features are missing, then it means that they weren't checkmarked
on the "Choose Components" page of the Installer Options.

sorry -- have been away
I think I may have located some features of Winamp Pro by clicking on Browser, but what I do not see is:
any facility to rip CDs
any facility to send a playlist or files to my Walkman

I understand what you are saying about reg key, but i do not remember being given one -- all i have is a name and password
