winamp plays audio cds but there is no sound! i tried to download the cd reader on url.ru but unfortunately thats impossible. is there any alternative? please help me!!!

is the audio cable connected form the CD-ROM to the sound card?
Is your CD Volume turned down?
Muted?
why can't you down load CD Reader?
