Limit title length in playlist

Greetings and thank you in advance for any help.

I would like to make the artist field/string limited to 10 characters in my playlist. How can I do that?

Example:

The Red Ho - Around The World

instead of

The Red Hot Chili Peppers - Around The World

The Red Ho?? Sounds like a pron video. Anyways, to answer your question...

1. Winamp > Ctrl+P (for Preferences)
2. General Preferences > Titles
3. In the 'Advanced Title Formatting' box replace the string with

[$cut(%artist%,#) - ]$if2(%title%,$filepart(%filename%))

Where # is the max character length

4. Close out of Prefs > click Yes when asked to refresh titles
