The video window always opens! How do I make it stop?

Every time I open winamp, the video window opens too, even when all I'm opening is a music file.


I know how to close the video window, and I'm not saying that's hard, I'm just curious as to what's making this happen.

I have the same problem.

since I will probably never recieve an answer from winamp support. this is what I did:

I reinstalled winamp and removed ALL checkmarks for the Video settings.

most likely no one replied as no information was provided about your winamp install (as it sounds likely it was a 3rd party plug-in which http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....161361#plugins would have shown).

also all support provided in the forums is done by people in their own time so they can decide what they do or don't reply to (is why there's the main sticky saying what needs to be posted when reporting an issue otherwise posts will and often are ignored).

if you are a pro user then there's a specific contact address to direct tech support issues to (which i believe the address is provided when a pro purchase is made).

either way it seems like you've resolved the issue now which is the main thing.
