Creative Sound Blaster EXTIGY CD

Hi All

Does anyone have a copy of the original Sound Blaster EXTIGY cd that they could make into an ISO and upload to me please ?

I have hunted everywhere (even on the Creative forums) and the links that were there don't work . The original drivers are not on the Creative site either - only updates.

Any help would be appreciated.

If someone can supply me with the cd iso I will make it available for other people to download . Creative themselves tell people to go to their forum to get it but as I said, the link for those particular drivers is no more !!

Because this is a last ditch attempt to find the drivers, and people here tend to have good quality sound equipment !! (or at least many do).

works for me (for Windows 98SE, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP 32bit versions)

these are updated from originals, but you shouldn't be using the old buggy drivers anyway.

you don't want all the other bullshit thats on the iso. its all rubbish.

Does that one include the EAX console etc and the ability to select how you want the outputs to function ?

I got "one" from the creative site, and it enables the card so it works (that's what I'm running at the mo) but the full cd allows the output to be set to 2 identical stereo outputs instead of 4.1 (which it works at as default).

Extigy? I got my old Audigy CD around here.... are the drivers et al the same?

Fraid not. The Extigy is a USB soundcard mainly meant for laptops, and therefor the drivers are all USB related rather than PCI.

Yet audigy (the first one, made at the same time of the extigy is still very well supported).

Didn't creative have unified support then? I still say my audigy drivers might work....

I tried the ones on driverguide. The are all only updates - the same as Creative's site. All say you "must" have the original stuff installed first.

But I have another comment to make (after looking at other threads in this section). Chev made the comment "Soundblaster Forum" in the pic above !!! Does this mean piccies of "Kittehs" (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=264696) is more ON TOPIC ?!?!?!

The Sound Blaster Extigy CD

This Nero disk image (.nrg file) is perfectly legal to download. It is here because the links on the Creative website are no longer valid. Creative obviously allow the file to be downloaded as the links on the Creative forums were pointing to someone's personal website anyway.

Glad I came across this, I couldn't find a way to download the Audio Mixer software that came with the Extigy anywhere, and I don't have the original CD (just a CD a guy put the actual .inf files on, bought my Extigy from eBay). Thanks Zoe!

Yeah, I was very surprised with my Extigy, it actually sounds great connected to my 5.1 surround sound system (and CMSS even turns MP3s into 5.1 instead of stereo!) Not bad for like $80 off eBay, hehe.

That festival is pretty neat! Too bad I live in Canada, or I'd go...

So I do realize that this post is a few years old, but I came across this card in a thrift store in my hometown. It came with all the cables but the remote and cd are missing. I can do without the remote, but I can't find the software ANYWHERE, and the links on this page are obviously out of date. Does anyone still have a copy of the iso?

Ok - try it now - If it still doesn't work then give it a few hours for the DNS to filter through, but it IS still there !!

As I said I forgot to change the IP when the server moved !!

yeah it always pissed me off that creative only provides dumbed down drivers (missing the extra software) on their website, i had to torrent an image of one of their install disks to get the control panel thing/mode switcher and a bunch of other things that make soundblaster worthwhile.

i can't and won't say where, but i'm sure people who are seeking will know where to look and if not, you're shit out of luck and brains.

a few weeks ago i got hold of a Soundblaster Extigy
and like you i searched and searched for the drivers
on Creative site only updates
on XP and W7 it works, but i missed the software, like the player and the other options
finaly after hours of searching, i found the link on google to this forum
and YESSS, youve got a hold of the .nrg
and afters years it is still availeble for download
downloaded it, burned it, instaled it, and it works

thank you very much for it, and also for keeping it online
