Python scripting?

Hi,

I'm considering switching from iTunes to Winamp to manage my iPod. One thing I do with iTunes is automate it with a python script (via COM support) to do some simple things like adding an mp3 file to my library, adding a file to a playlist, marking a file as "skip while shuffling", mark a file as "remember last position".

Is it possible to script Winamp in this way (preferably via python)? Also, I don't see a way via the UI to mark tracks as "skip while shuffling" or "remember last position". Are these operations possible?
