keeping playlist associatins? when files moved to another drive?
Hello Fellow Members...I really hope someone out there can help & Advice me Please! I love winamp, but admit to not totally understanding it...as long as it does the job,of playing my music I am happy; Today I had fitted an extra hard drive to my Dell Studio Laptop..the original hardrive was to small,to store everything... So I thought I could store all my music on the new second hard drive which is (F) I have now transfered all my music to this drive (F);;; freeing up Drive C..for more mundane operations. I need to ask how to re-associate my music files, now in F Drive with my already made WinAmp Playlists that excist from before (simply) without having to import all the albums individually to the excisting playlists!! I really hope you guys can help,it would mean a lot all the best Steve |

Depends a lot on whether you have copied your music over to the new drive with exactly the same folder structure as before.
If you have, then all you need is to load your playlists into Notepad and then use 'Replace all' to change the old Drive letter with the new Drive letter. Notepad > Edit menu > Replace > C:/ to F:/ > Replace all. UJ |
