Hi,
WAV's are not playing. Then I updated right now to the newest version and still not playing. Windows Media Player plays these Wav's problemless. Any advices? Thanks KC |

Hi
What type of WAV files are they? Are they riff-wav's with embedded mp3, maybe? http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=156839#wav |

actually I know these wav files played earlier with older winamp versions. these are sample wav files, dont know if embedded mp3 riff or any. but sure they played with older winamp before.
the filetypes in the preferences of winamp do not list WAV at all. |

If WAV isn't in the Extension List in Winamp -> Prefs -> File Types
then it means one of two things... WAV Support wasn't checkmarked under the "Multimedia Engine -> Audio Playback" section of the Installer Options Or if it was, then WAV is not selected (highlighted) in: Winamp -> Prefs (Ctrl+P) -> Plugins -> Input -> Waveform Decoder (in_wave.dll) -> config. If the WAV files still don't play, then install the Waveform Wrapper plugin (as linked to in my first reply). If the problem persists, please attach your List of Plugins and provide us with a link to a zipped sample WAV file http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=161361#specs |
