Change Winamp Layout

I recently updated Winamp (5.581) on Windows 7 32-bit and would like to change the layout. As the linked picture shows, I can click on Audio, then select an Artist, then an Album by that Artist in the right pane. Previously, the songs to that Album would show up below in the red circled section. Instead, it now displays info about the artist. Could I change that to make it show the songs once again? I have looked through the options with no luck.

You probably moved the 3rd pane, so that it isn't visible anymore.

Go with the mouse a bit above the info pane and move it.

Additionally you can disable the info area completley. Preferences - Media Library - Local Media - 'Display 'Show Info' in media and album views'

Ah - excellent. I didn't know I could completely turn off that pesky "Show Info" thing. I just kept hitting the hide buttons. Thanks K[l]o[l]o[l]p[l]a

Brain Pudding:

you're welcome, doesn't surprise me, that you are not clever enough to find an option, which is present in preferences since the dawn of time.

Just because there is an option in there, doesn't mean I have managed to associate it with what it does. I am surprised I didn't notice it as I do often trawl through settings wondering what they do.

And surely it wasn't there "since the Dawn of time" as I don't remember this feature in Winamp 2.x. I thought it was one of the AOL add-ons. (Shows how little I pay attention)

(yes - I date back to when the Dinosaurs ruled the Internet... I never could get Winamp to install correctly on the PR1ME even when using my Time Machine to try and nip around for up to-date support)

Winamp is so customisable that there seems to be a switch for everything. How the best programs should always work.

It is times like this that I wish a moderator had the power to ban another moderator. What Koopa said was rude and completely uncalled for.

Please do not PM me for tech support. Any request for tech support through PM will be ignored.

@JonnyMac: That was not rude at all. It was a continuation of a bit of mild joshing from the GD forum. Notice how I started by calling him K[l]o[l]o[l]p[l]a due to a typo I made in his forum name the other day.

(See GD thread about DVD Ripping... and cats)

I give up trying to make any sense of the Mad-Mods round here... is there a Full Moon out there or something?

Now who is going to ban these Mods for dragging this thread OT?

JM:

your hatred made you very powerful. But never forget, hatred, fear and aggressive feelings, the path to the dark side they are - if you once follow that way, no way back there will be.

I love these kind of conservations, hehe.

And Batter Pudding no worries, maybe the weather is the reason, that the mods look a bit crazy. But JM is a good guy and very doubtful that he'd ban me, even if he could.

@Koopa
We already joined the dark side we became mods.

@Batter Pudding
Koopa is a nice guy and I would never dream of banning him. BTW, this is not the first time there was some banter between us.

Anyways, this thread is getting out of hand.

Don't worry, I already know the funny handshakes due to being a mod elsewhere...

The madness is a side effect of the power of The BanStick™.

I think you are using the wrong tense. This thread lost all connection with sanity a long while back. At least the OP got an answer... now they must this forum is an insane asylum
