Reboot when clicking Play or double-clicking to Play
Couldn't find this anywhere else in Support or Bugs. My computer freezes for a couple seconds, then reboots, about every fourth or fifth time I click "Play". No warning, no bsod, nothing. The first few times it happened I wasn't sure it was Winamp. But then through trial and error, I've isolated it. Clicking Play or double-clicking on an artist or album can trigger it. Instead of the music playing, and even before the album art is displayed in the little box in the Main Window, it pauses for a few seconds and then just reboots the whole pc.
I did a complete uninstall and reinstall one week ago, but that doesn't seem to have had any effect. When this has been happening, I've had the Main Window, Playlist Editor, and Media Library open. I just installed Windows XP on a new hard drive a couple weeks ago, so my pc is pretty clean. Winamp 5.581 Jul 12 2010 (Lite version) AMD Sempron 3000+ 1.80 GHz, 2 GB RAM Video: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT Sound: Realtek High Definition Audio (integrated with motherboard) Windows XP SP3 DirectX 9.0c Any help would be greatly appreciated - I HATE iTUNES with the passion of 1,000 suns! Winamp is so superior, especially if I can get this rebooting thing figured out. |

Ping. Just happened again while playing an mp3 and I was clicking on Artists in the Media Player to display songs in my library by that artist. Is there a possibility this would be fixed by buying Winamp Pro?
