This is incorrect about the port connections. The reason that they are spaced the way they are is because you must always have +1 port next to the one your using open because SC uses this one as a listening socket. As far as SC2 requiring this, I havent tinkered with it enough to verify this, but thats why you always see servers hosting on even sockets. The reason Why? Ususally they start with 8000.
