mp3s to WAVs

I used to be able to use winamp to convert mp3's to wav's but can't figure out how to do it with new version. any help?

Hard Way

In winamp, go to OPTIONS -> PREFERENCES -> PLUGINS -> OUTPUT and select the Nullsoft Diskwriter plugin. Hit CONFIGURE to specify a folder to store the WAV files that will result from the conversion. Then click OK. Back in Winamp, place the songs that you would like on the CD in the playlist, and hit play. The songs should play at two or three times their normal speed, and you should hear no sound. If you hear sound, then you didn't select the plugin properly.

When the tracks have finished playing, the folder you specified should now contain all of your songs in WAV format. You can test them by playing them in Winamp (making sure that you first disable the DiskWriter plugin and reselect the Nullsoft waveOut plugin).

Easy Way

Download CDex. Install it, run the program, select your mp3s, and hit the mp3->wav button.

Oh well. It's like I said somewhere else in this forum before... getting all sorts of apparently stupid people downloading WinAMP and asking for help is a good thing. It shows that on the net its just common sense to download WinAMP.

I do. It's just that a lot of people are forced to drive Fords, because they can't afford anything else (coupled with their general reliability (relative to other american cars), Fords make good cars for those on limited budgets). So it's a very dumb thing to call all Ford drivers stupid.

Plus, my folks used to have a Topaz, and currently own a Windstar. When you call my mom and dad stupid, I am obligated to cuss at you.

ok, i apologize if i insulted your parents (i figured from the f-you thing that it probably had something to do w/a family member.

the ford thing was mainly supposed to be a light hearted joke for those who own chevy's (ElChevelle, sarge, me) and not really meant to offend. i mean, if your folks had a venture, you'd be laughing at the joke.

a few years ago, seniors at the local public highschool rode riding lwanmowers to school on the last day. at our school, the tradition is usually to ride down one of the busiest streches of road at rush hour on bikes, and then ride into the school building.
