Winamp keeps crashing on Vista

I am having trouble with winamp crashing 4 or 5 times before it will open correctly. The music data in the in the media library is blank. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled and still have the same problem. I am a registered user. It has started doing this with the last update. It did do it on the previous update, but only 1 or 2 times. thank you
