Shoutcast DSP 1.9.1 not connecting to server.
Hi all,
I am (as usual) desperately seeking help. I am new beginner to shoutcast and this forum. I have been searching all the forum for help, but to no avail, in dispair i can not continue, so here i post. I wish to broadcast from my home computer to a local radio station via a server in another country. we set up and tested in May 2010 - all went well, shoutcast loaded and connected on the Shoutcast source DSP 1.9.1 with my own IP address and password. But then a few days later the shoutcast gives me a "Not connected" message in the Output box when i try to attempt. i have tried other IP addresses and pass words with other ports and all that, but nothing. the IP addresses works on another computer but not on mine. i have searched the web and i am now in such a mess, i am exhausted and worried i have made matters worse.... PLEASE HELP i need this to work. Here's my details. Operating System: (XP Professional Version 2008 Service Pack 3 Server Location: hosted in Trinidad & Tobago (I am in Grenada) Do you have a Router?: (Yes or No) ? I'm not sure? I have a 4 Port Modem if that's the same thing. Router Manufacturer: ZHONE Model #: 6212-13-300-OGN ADSL 2+ 4PRT ANNEX A. Internet type: ADSL Upstream: find out your upload speed @ http://www.speedtest.net With the above speedtest website i get 2.03mb/s Download and 0.29mb/s Upload speeds, But on the LIME (my service provider) speedtest website i get 6.59mb/s Download and 0.25mb/s Upload... so i am sure you will know which is right. do you have a Firewall?: Well, yes there is the default Windows Security Centre Firewall, which i have disabled and then tried connecting and it made no difference. Desired Bitrate: 128k is what i was advised by the radio station. Internal Ip: Connection-Specific DNS Suffix: IP Address:.......192.168.1.10 Subnet Mask.....255.255.255.0 Default Gateway...192.168.1.1 External ip: Didn't understand that link to Stream Solution.. but i hope this is the IP address you require 216.110.115.139 Portbase the port you setup in the sc_serv.ini file: the main one i was given is 8025 Server Logs: (taken from the shoutcast server) I am not the server!! Description of problem: Well basically unable to connect to the server, sometimes i am told "Invalid Password" and its not. PLEASE HELP ME!! Any other info you need just ask and i will send. |

Have you verified that the remote server that you are sourcing to (from the DSP) is still working and setup correctly?

What's the IP(or DNS name) and port number of the remote server so it can be tested to see if it's the server or if it's just your computer/network/ISP. If you're worried about privacy you can PM it to me.
