Last tracks playback and CD ripping issue

I use Winamp Pro to rip CDs and recently I have encountered a very annoying issue. The created mp3 of the next to the last track gets cut off short, and then that material that was cut off gets appended to the front of the last track mp3. This problem does not happen with every CD but with a lot of them.

Also just now while investigating this I realized that the same problem affects CD playback of those tracks as well. The same issue that the next to the last track cuts off short and then that audio picks up at the start of the playback of the last track.

Has anyone else encountered this? If so any solutions?

I have Winamp Pro 5.581. I am running Windows XP.
