Live Streaming???
HI,
I got put in charge of finding a way to simulcast my college's radio station online. I was just wondering if Shoutcast/Winamp is capable of live streaming? ... Did I happen to miss something in the help section??? |

Yes, it is capable of live streaming. Depending on how you are bringing the audio into the computer will determine what you need to do to get it working.

Sorry I've been away for a while, but I'm trying to Stream the audio that is broadcasting from our NextGen Server (the program that host and broadcast our music over the radio) which on one computer, that goes into a soundboard, then the audio from the soundboard goes onto another computer that has like the Winamp program and the ShoutcastDNAS and what not. All i want to do just stream that source, no MP3's or other music files... I hope that make since sense.... Is it possible
Thanks |

I'm assuming that you have the soundboard connected to a soundcard or some other audio input device on the computer:
You can use this plugin to bring the audio from the soundcard to play in Winamp. Metadata will be out of the question unless you somehow are able to relay the song info from the NextGen Server host to the DNAS host. |
