Winamp Fucnctions

Hi, I've searched for these subjects in FAQ to no avail.
1:-Does Winamp have a rename track function. ie can you rename the actual file on your harddisk?
2:-My kids have given me some of their music files but i want to check whether they already exist in my Winamp before I import the track?
3:-I would like to copy just the track (not folder) to a memory card which my car player accepts, how do I do that in Winamp please ?
4:-I have downloaded the plugin - Gen_Yar.dll but it's not clear how to load this up in Winamp, can you point me in the right direction please and thank you.

1) not natively though i think there was a tagger plug-in which did it (can't find it at the moment).

2) if it's the same file but a different filepath then it won't be easy to track it down as the library generally bases things about the filepath of an item so not sure how to suggest being able to see if you already have it without manually querying the playlist editor/library.

3 + 4) you just need to run the installer from this post which will install the plug-in and then use the option on the main right-click menu to access it after selecting the file(s) you want to copy (or use alt+c)

or

there's my alternative (created before i started fixing the compatibility issues of gen_yar and newer Winamp clients) which is my File Copier plug-in which works in a similar manner (though is currently under going an update to make it integrate into the send-to menu (was added but then was broken by client changes) and a few other quirks it's had).

Uh,
All works brill except I can't change the File Type in the Dialog from 'All Files', there is just no other option. Consequently the copied files are all . . . . . . of no type.
Yes, I can manually change the types to what I want in the copied/destination folder but I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong please Dr O.
Thanks.
