Authentication Key using the DSP Winamp Plugin

I got an authentication key so my station will show up on the site

only problem is I can't figure out how to enable it using the DSP winamp plugin. I got the key I just don't know where to put it

Any help?

The old official SHOUTcast DSP is not updated for the new version 2 SHOUTcast directory listing. The only place I'm aware of to put the new Authentication Key is in the new sc_serv2 configuration (for which it was built.) If you still need to source your audio from the old official SHOUTcast DSP, do it through sc_trans. Sc_trans provides a mechanism to do that and is detailed in the docs.txt file included in the sc_trans download archive.

If you're still stuck post back on this thread for more help. I can assure you it does work as I have done it (briefly) myself.

thanks so much for the reply, I wish this was made clear when I downloaded the DSP. I searched on google for an hour trying to figure out the problem. I know now why.
