SC sounds garbled
hi ,, been running SC for about 4 years
Sc source v1.9.0 server moniter v1.9.8/win32 winxp amd 3000+ 1.81GHz 448mb ram many times(like right now) i find the sound quality is very poor on the 2 feeds i run ,40kbps & 80kbps i also run a barix unit at 68kbps on which the sound quality is top quality anyone have any idea why the sound quality would be garbled? shoutcast feeds http://209.166.94.197:8000 http://209.166.94.197:8004 barix feed for compareson http://209.166.94.197/xstream greatfully , LCR1610AM LCR1610AM & KWPA 103.1 FM Radio Tech on ShoutCast search for (Local Radio & Music) http://ww2.whidbey.net/lcr1610am Most computer errors happen between the keyboard & the chair! |

At first your streams did sound garbled but after a while I reconnected again and sounded fine on the song "Indian Summer Wine - The Bumblebees." and "Waking Souls - Sister Monk Harem." Maybe some of your songs' samplerates are incompatible? Not sure, only a guess. If I'm correct, try making all the songs you have the exact same bitrate and samplerate.
Also, I was unable to connect to the "barix feed" so I wasn't able to compare. [/EDIT] Oops, it just went garbled again right in the middle of the song "Waking Souls - Sister Monk Harem" so scratch my previous theory! |

Are you running any other plugins on the Winamp/SHOUTcast source?

Since you're using your soundcard as the source, maybe the driver needs updated/reinstalled?
Total guess... ![]() SH If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!
