Winamp Volume Problem

Hi, a few days ago when I started Winamp I was surprised to see that the volume was extremely low on comparison to previous days. I opened the same files with other media players and the volume was as it should be. The volume bar in Winamp is at its maximum. What could it be ?

depends on what os you are using
windows 7 lowers volume either for external communication or for automatic volume control(so you dont blow your ears or your speakers) check with your sound settings in windows to see if your issue is in there
