Winamp won't play midi or videos
Pretty much all it can do is play MP3's.
On my old PC it ran everything fine and well. It's also an older version on that PC, but regardless, it was good. It wasn't the "lite version" nor was this install. I did the Standard. My old PC is XP this one is Windows 7 64-bit. I have absolutely no idea what's wrong. I installed a Winamp Essentials pack hoping it would work, and all it allowed me to do was actually be able to drag the videos and midi's into winamp where they shows 0:00 and wouldn't play. I also tried the K-Lite Codec pack. Windows Media Player Classic runs everything well, but I don't that program. I've been using Winamp for years, and years, so I'd really like to fix this as I want to keep using it. No idea what's wrong because I thought it would work fine out of the box, so to speak. Help is greatly appreciated. EDIT: I should add, that when I go into my input plug-ins, the only ones I have are. Nullsoft LineIn Plugin v3.12 Nullsoft MPEG Audio Decoder v4.92 my old PC had the MIDI Player one, etc,. Essentially I'm missing tons of these. ![]() Again though, help on how to remedy this would be great. Reinstalling Winamp did nothing. |

Reinstalling Winamp is the remedy. However, make sure the proper plug-ins are is checkmarked in the Choose Components (screen/window 4) of the installer options. (Multimedia Engine > Audio Playback )
