Winamp crashes when starting a DX app

Winamp 5.581 (build 2985)
Clean install, no 3rd-party skins or plug-ins
Language Pack: None (default English US)
Skin: tested with Bento, Winamp Modern and Classic skins

OS: Windows XP Pro SP3
Locale: English US
CPU: Dual-core Intel E5300
Memory: 1GB RAM
Graphics: On-Board
Sound: Realtek HD Audio
DirectX 9c (June 2010)(SDK)

Problem:
When I stop Winamp and start a Direct-X program IE FIFA 09, Winamp crashes. But if I remove a plug-in and open winamp, Closes Winamp and put plug-in back, then open Winamp. The problem goes away? Happens every time I install a DX game. I've reinstalled DX also

I just Move any input plug-in from the plug-in directory. Also the problem reappear when I turn off the PC, or when the PC goes into Power saving Mode.

so really not much useful information still *shrugs*

based on something i had reported to me a few days back and based on what i can see in the file you've attached (providing a proper plug-ins list -> http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....161361#plugins would have saved me some time) i would suggest renaming gen_classicart.dll to gen_classicart.off and then see what happens (as i found an issue with that plug-in with display changes leading to a crash and if you're playing games then that's something likely to be happening i guess).

k, pm sent with a link to a test build to see if the crash fix in the plug-in works for you.
