Trouble installing winamp 5.58

The problem I am having is Winamp installation stalls when "Checking if internet available". My internet connection is cable with Rogers as my provider. I've had no problem with itunes or media player. My system is Windows xp home sp3, 2.67 Ghz CPU, with 1GB RAM.

Please help.

unblock winamp installer from your firewall during install.

Turned off both Firewall and anti-virus during install. As well as made an exception in the firewall for the installation program. Still having the same problem. I am using Rogers Online Protection. I have to hit Ctrl-Alt-Del then end task to stop install because cancel isn't working.
