USB Charging

Problem: Motorola Droid (v2.2) would not charge via USB. The phone would say it was charging, but the battery percentage would drop.

I installed winamp for Android and initially had the mount SD card automatically set. I then turned that feature off. After I uninstalled winamp, USB charging started to work again.

The PC was a Dell Optiplex running Windows 7. This happened at work, so I did not have the PC version of Winamp installed nor was my phone connected to wifi at the time. I had the winamp widget running on my phone, but the phone would not charge whether it was playing or not.
