Winamp Pro does not sync video podcasts correctly (help!?)
Winamp: Both 5.581 (5.5.8.2985) Pro & Winamp 5.59 (3033 beta) Pro - clean installs
Winamp Language Pack: Default Skin: Bento Mobo: Asus M4A77TD Pro CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 945 Memory: 4gbs Windows OS: Windows 7 x64 Profession, English GB Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 5750, Catalyst 10.10 Sound Card: VIA VT1708S High Definition Audio DirectX version: 11 Portable device: Phone: Samsung Galaxy S (UK Version) Android OS: 2.2 Froyo Internal Storage: 16gb External SD Card Storage: 8gb Example Podcast: http://revision3.com/tomstop5/feed/MP4-Small Problem: After syncing to a the usb portable device Winamp Pro does not recognise the video files, and so will transfer them again the next time sync is run. To reproduce: 1) Download a video podcast 2) Sync the video podcast to a usb portable device 3) Re-sync the portable device and the video podcast will be transferred again Under default settings the transferred podcasts do not have a filename, only their extension, i.e. .mp4 (changing the filename format to <filename> gives the file a proper unique name but does not solve the problem). The videos do not appear in either the podcast or video (if enabled) section of the device's media library, but can be viewed by clicking on entirely blank entries in the USB Drive's root media library (see screenshot). Audio podcasts work with no problems. Many apologies if I've missed the obvious again, but this is very frustrating as I want to use Winamp for all my podcasts, but currently it is taking 30mins to sync because all the video files keep getting re-transferred. Hopefully, someone can confirm whether or not this is entirely an issue at my end, or a bug. Thanks. |
