"Enqueue in winamp" not working

I'm trying to figure out why, when all preferences are identical, does one hard drive not respond when "enqueue in winamp" is selected from my window's dropdown menu in wndws xp? the only difference that i see is that it works on the setup that has no microsoft updates installed on it or is there something that i've overlooked?
