Exporting mp3s from Sansa back to hard drive folder
I'm probably assuming too much, but, is there a way, after I plug my mp3 player into my usb port and select to open it with winamp, to create a playlist, and then export just those selected songs back to my computer's hard drive?
I see a selection that says export playlist, but, it is greyed out and I'm not even sure they mean export the actual files or just a list. ![]() Sorry, this has been so hard to figure out. So far winamp is the best program I've used. It actually recognizes my sansa c250 about 80% of the time I plug it in, and BEST OF ALL ... it lists all the songs available on it. With Media Monkey all it lists are folders I've put the music in before loading the mp3 player. That was a long time ago, and I'm thinking I never should have sorted all my music to folders on my pc before I dragged them into the player. But ... that's another story. and another issue I suppose. Thanks in advance, I'm hoping I can get playlist songs off this thing. |

Hi
Media Library > Devices > (Drive) > Playlists > (Playlist Name): Select all the songs in the playlist Right-click first selected item Click "Copy to local media" (Destination Folder & Naming Convention can be set via: Winamp > Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Media Library > Portables) |

thank you,
I'm still having a difficult time finding those paths you listed. Ctrl+P when I go to portable device, it shows null values in a list. Do I have to have my mp3 player connected in order to set the destination path on my computer? Why would I change something under portables when I am trying to list a path to a folder on my HD? Also, what is meant by local media? Is that some kind of generic term for "files on the computer"? thanks, sorry I'm just not understanding the interface for some reason. |
