Equalizer won´t open

Hi folks,

I got my Samsung Galaxy S (Captivate in the US) I9000 just a week ago and today I finally got me some working headphones (the provided ones were absolutely crappy!).
So I installed Winamp 1.0.1 today and I am totally psyched about the synching function, but I think I don´t get the equalizer working. I read somewhere, that the lightning in the lower right of the homescreen opens a graphic equalizer, but on my phone I can just press the thingy down but nothing happens

I´ve also tried reinstalling the app, but that didn´t work either.
The Android version on my phone is 2.2...
Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong?
I hope it´s not just me that´s wrong.
