Major Problems with Playlist SYNC via WiFI
I have winamp pro 5.601 version installed on pc.
I have downloaded the wimap beta for Android. I am Using a Samsung Galaxy Tab with Android 2.2 Froyo. I can get easily connected via WiFi, but never via usb. Now this happens everytime: I Have a playlist (example My Music) in winamp. I right click the device and tick mark that playlist for syncing. When i sync, it sends the 169 songs in the playlist to my phone. I have check, the songs actually go in the phone memory. In the last step it syncs the Playlist. Now what happens here is only 50 odd or so songs come in playlist. Rest all are missing. Now i click sync again, and it says 10 songs needs to be transferred to the device, and they always fail, then it syncs the playlest in the end. The song number in playlist on phone increase to about 60-62. I do this 8 to 10 times more and manage to get 68 songs and then it stops. I have tried this procedure from start many times, and some times only 4-6 come sometimes 50-60 come. It actually depends on the number of songs in the playlist. I tried another playlist say with 10 songs and only 2 are show in the playlist on the phone, ding the same procedure about increases it to 5 and then stops. I have tried this for 2 hrs yesterday and am really fed up. The current wimamp player and the android beta for my Samsung Galaxy tab is completely useless for me. Does anyone has a solution around this? Or is facing this same issue? |

Similar issue myself. Synched up via usb and transferred all my music over, yet winamp on the Desire cant seem to find half of it. Sometimes whole albums, some times just a bunch off tracks of an album.
*edit Must be a setting somewhere that I've got wrong. Can anybody point me in the right direction? |

Interestingly, I have tried to play the tracks through the laptop that are visible on the device when viewed on the laptop. All that happens is that winamp plays the next track it can find (ie, one that is only visible when looking at the device directly). This indicates to me that something went wrong in the transfer, just haven't worked out what.
I shall continue searching the forums for a fix myself. |

For me the tracks played on the device via winamp, play fine. I connected the device in usb mode and all the songs were there. Try physcially checking if the songs were transfered. Mine does, only problem is with playlist generation.
If you find a fix, let me know as well. |

Playlists on Android are empty!
I used Winamp 5.601 to sync my Android tablet (Huawei S7) via USB. All the songs transferred fine, and it looks like the playlists did too, because they are listed in the playlist lgroup on the tablet. The problem is that when I tap a playlist, it is empty!
The samething happened when I sync'd via WiFi. I can browse the memory card of the tablet with the PC and enqueue a playlist, which plays fine, as it normally does on the PC. The songs can be played individually, but the playlists are empty, and I'd rather not spend hours making them up again. |

When i look at the transfers on the device it shows most songs as completed and maybe a quarter as failed (some of which i know are already on the device). But the transfers never quite finish it gets to the last item - Playlist Synchronisation and just says Working... in the status column and never finishes. I have been using winamp and the wi-fi sync for about 2 weeks and this only just started happening to me. Thanks Ash |

For me, it is creating all the files, but the ones which Winamp can not find are actually empty. File size is 0 when viewed from File Manager. Just tried deleting those files and resyncing, it appears to be working, will edit this when I see if it worked.
Edit: It worked this time. I guess this is what we will have to do. Winamp needs to do a checksum check on each file (or I suppose, on the playlist as a whole?) when syncing. That way it would know to replace the empty files. |

I'm having the same issue. Syncing a playlist of about 12 songs, only 4 make it to the playlist on the phone. All the media seems to make it to the device, but not to the playlist on the device. After syncing a second time the entire playlist appears below the 4 songs that originally were there, but the new tracks list "external/xxx" (xxx denotes a seemingly random 3 digit number) visible on winamp on my pc, and they still don't appear on my mobile. Hope a fix comes soon, my wife didn't have any music on her android device for her run and she's pissed!

I think I'm having similar issue:
I configured PC winamp to sync all playlists and all songs rated 5 to android (Gingerbread 2.3) about 1500 songs total. After each sync over wifi, PC winamp says it want to delete about 100-150 songs and copy songs with the same names again, over and over. I wonder if something went corrupt on either PC or android side and how to recover from it? |
