ASIO support
I wish next Winamp support for ASIO output mode
![]() Because there are audiophile sound card support ASIO like Asus Xonar essence STX, Creative Titanium HD, or Audiotrak Prodigy HD2 for better sound output with bit perfect mode At least it'll has robust plugin than available plug in from 2006 available now which didn't work with newer ASIO version (2.0 and later) I love Winamp but unfortunately I am not using it instead of foobar2000 because of ASIO compatibility problem |

U can use Winamp OpenAL Output Plug-in. ASIO not much better then OpenAL - they are working on same layer. U can see this on sheme (see attachment).
And OpenAL plugin is excellent for having low CPU usage (useful if streaming and gaming at the same time); but it's limited to 48khz & 16-bit output. The upmixing to 5.1 is very good however. |

My soundcard is Asus Xonar essence STX can handle up to 192kHz & 24-bit output ... it has ASIO 2.2 driver support that can run auto bit perfect to match source automatically I doubt OpenAL without full support from soundcard driver can do the same as ASIO did
