Can't edit tags and drag and drop at the same time

I'll start by saying I'm not hugely tech savvy, so any help I can get would be appreciated.

I just replaced my old desktop with a new system with windows 7 on it. Downloaded the lastest free version of winamp (5.61) because definitely perfer it over other media players.

I'm not sure what version I was running on my old system (that system was still running XP to show how old it was), but that version of winamp let me edit id tags and drag and drop files from explorer into the playlist editor with no issues.

With the current system and the current version, in order to edit tags I have to select "run program as adminstrator" (I'm the only user of my computer). If I'm running as administrator, I am not able to drag and drop files into the playlist editor and selecting "enqueue in wimamp" on each file opens a completely new instance of winamp.

I would like to be able to both edit tags and drag and drop files without having to close the program and open it again every time (I edit my tags as I'm listening and am always dragging something new into the playlist).

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks for any help you can give.
