Windows2000, music at high speed....

When I recently did a clean install of Win2k, I installed winamp, and now my mp3s run at a higher speed... as if on an lp and you were spinning the record faster... ya know?

I've installed the correct audio driver, and don't really know what else it could be?

I thought there might be a different version for win2k, but there isn't, so what's my next option?

Speed problems are always annoying, but you should be able to remedy the chimunk speed by downloading the DSP/Effect plugin "PaceMaker" and tinkering with the speed and pitch.
