video playback issue: short pause/glitch every few seconds.

My issue is with playing a .mkv movie (Life Cycles 2010 is amazing, go watch it).
there are very short lags in playback every few seconds through the whole movie, but the audio seems to be fine. I set up ffdshow and the haali splitter (not so easy). The movie plays perfectly in WMP using ffdshow and haali, but I like Winamp way better. Please help me make it work!
