#1 - i've never properly looked at the code for the mp3 handling so it might be simple to add a sample rate option or it might not. my comment about aac is that the new encoder in 5.62 will change the sample rate depending on the bitrate in use i.e. basically what you're asking for so yes i can see setting up the mp3 encoder to work in a similar manner could be off use, but there's more pressing things for me to spend my time working on.

#2 - setting a custom 'name' wouldn't really work as that's not how the v2 system is designed to work as it enforces the name assigned to the authhash of that stream in the DNAS. as such the only way is to then manipulate the song title (though deviating from artist - title can cause client issues). maybe something can be changed about that whole behaviour so it is possible to append the dj name to the station name so you have a title in the client like 'my song - my artist (my station - my dj) but doing that would require changes in all of the provided tools which isn't viable at the moment (or even appropriate for what is officially wanted from the tools).

i can log it and have it discussed but it'd be low on the list if considered.

with the attachment failure, you could either try an external image host and i can then append it to a post or you might be hitting the second forum server which has issues with attachments. jpg files should be allowed (or use png as i know that does work).
