VP3 streams not playing since Update

Winamp version 5.601 played both VP3 and VP6 tv streams fine, but yesterday since upgrading VP3 video streams have stopped functioning.

Has support for streams encoded with VP3 stopped in the new version?

Seems to be a problem with the file nsvdec_vp3.dll in the plugins folder... if I replace that file with the nsvdec_vp3.dll from the old version 5.601, VP3 streams work fine.

Hi

Yup. We discovered this issue a day after release.
vp3.1 videos/streams are still playing ok, but not the older vp3.0 ones.
It's happened as a result of the security vulnerability fix in 5.621
We'll fix it for the next release and I might even post the fix here.

Thanks

Hi,

I upgraded to 5.623 and the VP3.1 streaming issue still hasn't been fixed. The workaround using the old version (5.601) of nsvdec_vp3.dll cures the video stream playback issue but I'm disappointed that a fix hasn't been implemented in last couple of releases. Are there any security issues in running the old dll to enable viewing of VP3.1 shoutcastTV streams?
