SHOUTcast Technical Manual
Hi Folks..
Is there a SC technical manual which explains the threads and codes which are served up when SC_SERV is loaded? (V2) There are a series of numbers which show up which may or may not be error codes but I have no idea. Recently I have been getting a code 200 and when I see that code, I know the server is in a hang mode and I need to restart. Is that an error code or is it something relative to resources and nothing to do with that 200 number? If I could get my hands on some technical information which defines whats happening at bootup, I would be able to diagnose and probably fix some of the issues which I encounter from time to time.. there is no tech document to the level that you're asking for. there are http / xml response codes listed in the wiki for certain actions though without knowing what part of the log that you're looking at, it's hard to say. as http responses showing a 200 are usually that all is ok with that aspect (though it still could mean there was a YP failure which would be stored in the body response).
with the v2 DNAS, you can tell if something went majorly wrong if there's an 'E' prefixing the log message. but like i said above, without any snippet of log messages, etc i cannot really answer your question. -daz |

Thanks..
I was looking for a document that outlined the codes with meanings so that I could trouble shoot some of the issues myself rather than wade through the forums or... post a thread! It would save me plenty time and create a faster route to a solution.. I think! B |

maybe but then not knowing what you're looking at makes it hard to point you to the correct information if it exists. so either way it probably involves some sort of extra input of information to direct / answer things.
