SHOUTcast yp - unresponsive servers

Basically everything goes well until one obtains station ID and tries to request playlist. SHOUTcast servers return empty playlist on first try too often, one has to try again to succeed.

Please fix.

what station id are you having issues with?

No particular station, could happen to any station at any time of day or night. Usually happens when there is a delay in response from the server when you request http://yp.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-station.pls?id=[station id] it would often serve blank. When server responses quickly, playlist is always full.

My bet on server overload or not enough capacity.

you weren't clear in your first post that you meant any station - it sounded like you were referring to one you are providing.

there have been some intermittent issues over the last week or so though to my knowledge it had been rectified on monday. hence if there are specific ones you've come across then that would be useful to provide so they can be looked at in further detail.

Yes, I noticed problem started awhile ago so it is good to know someone looked at it. But it happened today too, hence my post. Let's see how it goes
