Help with ml_ipod and Smart playlists

I have not used these before. I have managed to create one with iTunes that I'm after. Its basically show only the last 1000 songs recently added to the iPod. How do I do this with m_ipod?

Also now that I have made that one in iTunes and have gone into Winamp I notice that it says when I click on the Playlist I made ' <<< smart playlist not created in Winamp, read-only >>>' and down the right hand corner of the box it says 'X-LIVE' what is that?

The last thing is, the playlist I made in iTunes will it update itself in Winamp as I add music to the ipod is it only through iTunes that it will do this?
